AIRTEC FMIC Front Mount Intercooler Performance Upgrade Audi TT RS (8J)

  

AIRTEC are proud to introduce the front mount intercooler upgrade for the Audi TT RS (8J). Designed to fit all models, this free-flowing intercooler is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM set up. Featuring a huge 120mm core design together with high-flow, cast end tanks, the AIRTEC intercooler offers much greater surface area, efficiency and volume over standard.

Despite this improvement, it fits neatly behind the original bumper and can be used with the original hoses. As with all AIRTEC products, the intercooler was tested back-to-back on the dyno aginist the OEM item. This showed a huge reduction in air charge temperatures over standard, as seen below.

Rolling Road test results - Carried out at AmD Tuning on 11/04/2017. Run 1 - Into intercooler: 117 degrees - Out of intercooler: 69 degrees. Run 2 - Into intercooler: 117 degrees - Out of intercooler: 68 degrees.

Run 3 - Into intercooler: 119 degrees - Out of intercooler: 78 degrees. Run 1 - Into intercooler: 116 degrees - Out of intercooler: 36 degrees. Run 2 - Into intercooler: 117 degrees - Out of intercooler: 36 degrees.

Run 3 - Into intercooler: 118 degrees - Out of intercooler : 37 degrees. The comprehensive fitting kit includes all the correct fixtures and fittings, step-by-step instructions with pictures and should take around 3-4 hours to complete. The intercooler is available in a choice of either Natural Silver or Pro-Series Black finishes, with or without the AIRTEC logo. Will Require OE crashbar cutting and rewelding so not a Home DIY fit.
