MTC MOTORSPORT BMW M135i 335i M235i 435i N55 TURBO FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER GEN 2
MTC Motorsport BMW N55 Gen 2 135i 235i 335i 435i Front Mount Intercooler, also fits many other models. This Intercooler is slightly different than the usual N55 one we sell. Its got a bar and plate core but is 1 thicker at the front where it steps up with a 6 core instead of 5. Performance-wise we havent recorded a massive difference although the Gen 2 intercooler does keep temps slightly cooler after a good amount of pulls on the road and proved to be better on track also. It was 7 degrees C cooler than the normal N55 one we sell which is quite a difference.

We have tested our intercoolers on a few vehicles and found they have absolutely fantastic results. The IAT compared to the standard intercooler are reduced massively which means you get consistent increased performance. The standard intercooler and the MTC intercooler both had intercooler intake temperatures of between 135-140 degrees through 10 runs on the road. At the other side of the intercooler into the engine the standard intercooler temperatures were between 75-80 degrees whereas the MTC intercooler temperatures were around 25 degrees over all 10 runs and was proven to be fantastic on track.
The MTC intercooler features a massive 6 bar and plate core intercooler with flowed cast end tanks and 4 extra rows at the front to increase the surface area providing the best cooling properties. We have added a fin to the inside of the casting on the intake side to direct some of the airflow up through the top 4 extra cores. This intercooler weighs around 12kg and provides over 100% more volume and near 100% more surface area than the standard intercooler.
It is proven to handle 600bhp as I have a car running this power with the Gen 2 intercooler. Dimensions are 520mm X 215mm X 180mm which is a massive increase on the standard intercooler and the exact same dimensions as the Wagner Evo 2 intercooler. Intercooler is powder coated in black with machined alloy ends left bare. The intercooler is a direct fit and there are some great videos on YouTube to follow. However, professional installation is recommended and should take approximately 1-2 hours. As good as if not the best intercooler on the market for the BMW's at the moment.
