MTC Motorsport MK7 Golf R 2.0 TSI Front Mount Intercooler with bar and plate core. The intercoolers have been tried and tested and are on a few vehicles already with absolutely fantastic results. The IAT compared to the standard intercooler are reduced massively which means you get consistent increased performance again and again.
The standard intercooler and the MTC intercooler both had intercooler intake temperatures of between 115-120 degrees every time through 5 runs on the road. At the other side of the intercooler into the engine the standard intercooler temps were between 80-85 degrees whereas the MTC intercooler temperatures were at 35 degrees every time. These results are fantastic as these engines suffer from heat soak after a few pulls on the road.
This massively helps and in most cases solves that problem. This will fit the following cars. VW Golf 7 GTI 2013+ 5G. VW Golf 7 R 2013+ 5G. VW Golf 7 GTI ClubSport 2016+ 5G. Audi TT 2.0 TSI III 2014+ 8S some minor plastic trimming required to fit. Audi TTS III 2015+ 8S some minor plastic trimming required to fit. Audi A3 2.0/1.8 TSI 2013+ 8V. We use a bar and plate core matched to our flowed cast end tanks for this intercooler, same as we use on all our other intercoolers. This is the most efficient way to keep the intake temps right down. Nothing like as efficient as the bar and plate core. Very easy to fit, there are some great videos on YouTube. Fitting will take 3-4 hours by a professional mechanic as can be a bit complicated. Proven to handle over 500bhp as I have a few customers running around this power now. The core measures 630mm x 410mm x 50mm.The intercoolers are in stock and ready to dispatch usually same day if ordered before 12 o'clock. As good as if not the best intercooler on the market for the 2.0TSI with a fantastic price tag!
