Most C5 RS6 SMIC are leaking to some extend due to their crimped-on end tanks. Depending on the size of the leak, it makes the turbos to spool harder (to make up for the leaking air), thus wearing out the turbos faster. Or even trigger under-boost error code (check engine light).

The above is even more pronounced on chipped/tuned RS6. While eliminating the leaks, we also opted to make the intercooler larger to lower the IAT (intake air temperature) and better performance particularly for tuned cars.

We chose 3.5 thickness (compared to stock 2.5) but kept it lower than the 4.1 inches of the Wagners for easier fit. We use the OEM Audi end tanks and weld them onto 50% larger (10x9x3.5 inch) cores using 100% TIG seal welding to ensure high quality and fit. We pressure test the intercoolers.
