MTC Motorsport BMW X5 X6 Stepped Huge Front Mount Intercooler in Black, also fits many other models. We have engineered these intercoolers using a bar and plate core matched to our flowed cast end tanks, the same as we use on all of our other intercoolers. This is the most efficient way to keep the intake temperatures low. It has the ability to deal with well over 800bhp. We have tested our intercoolers on a few vehicles and found they have absolutely fantastic results. The IAT compared to the standard intercooler are reduced massively which means you get consistent increased performance. The standard intercooler and the MTC intercooler both had intercooler intake temperatures of 90 degrees through 5 runs on the road. At the other side of the intercooler into the engine the standard intercooler temperatures were 60 degrees whereas the MTC intercooler temperatures were in the high 20's over all 5 pulls on the road. This intercooler is one of the biggest on the market for the X5 marching the size of the Wagner version thats nearly twice the price. It will fit the following cars. The MTC intercooler features a massive competition core with flowed cast end tanks and increased surface area providing the best cooling properties. The core size is 535mm x 332mm x 150mm and weighs around 16kg. It holds 19.2 litres and provides 120% more surface area and 120% more volume over the stock intercooler and is powder coated in satin black. Professional installation is recommended and will take approximately 1-2 hours as it is a direct replacement to the car with the standard hoses fitting and clipping in.
